Kenny Wayne Shepherd at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino welcomes blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd to the Beach Club on Saturday, July 30 beginning at 9:00pm. Performing poolside on the Soundwaves stage, Shepherd is celebrating the upcoming release of his latest album, “How I Go”. The 34-year old Shreveport, Louisiana native is currently on tour to promote his new CD, set for release on August 2 on the Roadrunner label.
Shepherd, who cites the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Muddy Waters as influences on his career, began playing the guitar at the age of seven and first appeared on stage at the age of thirteen. Kenny Wayne has seven Top 10 singles and currently holds the record for the longest-running album on the Billboard Blues charts. Shepherd is a five time Grammy Award nominee and is the recipient of two Billboard Music Awards. He is best known for his hit song, “Blue on Black.”
